The City of Wellford business license for the year 2025/2026 will run from May1st thru April 30th and is renewable by April 30th. Any renewal after April 30th will result in a penalty. Attached below is an application for a new business license.
The General Assembly passed the SC Business License Standardization Act 176 in September 2020 creating the same process for taxing jurisdictions across the state. Renewals will be mailed out in February or March 2025, for the license year May 1, 2025, thru April 30, 2026, with penalties beginning on May 1, 2025.
Work permits are required for additional work exceeding the gross amount originally stated on the business license application or renewal. Work permits are not issued until a business license is obtained. You are able to obtain a business license and then a work permit for each additional job to be completed in the City of Wellford.
